Gone Dutch

Well exams have come and gone..and I passed! 95% for all my subjects togather *phew*
This week has pretty much been a recovery week and also Gerhard has taken leave (it was his birthday yesterday) for the whole week so no early rises for us! Except that...this morning Im up at 6am...yesterday his mom woke us up by calling at 6:30am...and on Tues we had a midwives appointment for 8 so we had to be up early too!

On Tuesday i had some much needed girly-time with some friends from Uni, it was really loverly :) They came over for lunch and brought flowers and even a little present for Gabriël!
The midwives appointment went well too, baby even moved when we tried the dopplar on him! I have picked up a total of 10 kilos now (yikes) but Im sure the easter chocolates had something to do with that too...

Last weekend Gerhard and I braved it out and went to an English church, it was very nice and spoke truely to myself. Since being here and not being able to find work and now being pregnant and having bought our first home something I always pray for is to 'give us this day our daily bread' which is in fact to pray for only what we really need and not necessarily what we want...and sure enough the service spoke about that.

We are already so blessed here and little Gabriël is already so spoilt without yet being born - I know God is watching over us.

Happy Easter & the video release of Gabriël's Youtube debut

Happy Easter!! As per usual when one has much studying to do on a pc two things happen - nice sunny days (damn them!) and much time on the internet doing anything BUT studying..

My exams are Wednesday & Thursday and I have done 6 chapters out of 15..still lots to do.

Here is my video I have been slaving over hope you enjoy - I am so proud i have never really edited any videos or made anything like this before so i am very proud!

The first time ever i saw your face...

28 weeks+ into our pregnancy!! About 2 weeks ago we went for our 4d scan for Heffalump and we got to see his face :) It was amazing. It was one of the cheapest and closest scan I could find so I was worried it would be dodgy or really really bad but it was excellent. The man spoke in English and we have the dvd with it too. Heffalump was in a tight spot though - head down and snuggled into the placenta so it was hard to get him too clear but we managed none-the-less.
He slept the ENTIRE scan and we saw a few yawns, but you know - I could of sat there for an hour watching his face and not been bored.
I thought his face would be rounder but its more oval-shaped (this could definatly work to my advantage during birth!!) and in fact he seems to look alot like me - I think so anyway.
Baby is definatly getting heavier. I have the new stretchies every week to show for it! At my last midwife appointment I had only gained one kilo YEAY! That must definatly be all baby because Im trying to eat better. I get up in the week-days with Gerhard and make nutricous oat cereal, I have recently whipped out my juicer which I love. Its hellish to clean but can make juice out of just about anything. Since I tasted the pure orange juice i have been craving it. Its not acidic at all. Today im even going to make smoothies with freshly squeezed juice, fat free yogurt and fruit and make ice-lollies :)
Ice-lollies will definatly come in handy as we have had a stunning sunning weekend. Makes it hard for me as I have 2 HUGE Dutch Final exams on the 14th and 16th...But I cant help it! Im a sunbaby and I want to sit out there. I feel Im deathly pale too especially next to my husband so I am trying to get some colour back.
Well thats all my update for now, will post a link to a little something special when im done with it...
